Below is an example of a compelling Engineering Fairness Policy.  We invite you to use as much or as little of this sample as you wish when you submit your own statement.

Engineering Fairness Policy

Expertise, insight, innovation, teamwork, and skill are qualities we endeavor to reward fairly and to encourage.  The future of our company depends upon the highest levels of cooperation within the Company, and making the most of the talents embodied in our excellent and capable staff.  

Here at NDI, we're serious about hiring engineers fairly and equitably: 

1)  On the day they are hired, we offer our engineers a flat, fixed percentage licensing agreement for any future inventions they might make that pertain to our business. 

2)  We divide sales commissions equally between the sales and engineering departments, since each greatly impacts the other.    

3)  We value technical expertise very highly in our business.  Therefore, we do not cap salaries for engineers and those who stay "technical" can earn as much or more than the people who "manager" them. 

Careers at NDI:  We employ mechanical and electrical engineers in the field of sensors, actuators, mechatronics and control systems.
