How far under the bus was GM willing to throw their engineers, in blame for the ignition switch debacle?  When the cost cutting culture comes from the very top...who's the fall guy or girl? 

In exchange for self-policing, the licensure of Professional Engineers in Canada puts full responsibility on them for public safety and observation of environmental laws.  And when one "supervises the work of others" and there's injury or death due to negligence, the criminal code provides for prosecution.  This system works very well in Canada; can we learn something from our northern neighbors?

Several years ago, I turned down a lucrative job offer to work in the production of components for US military drones.  Have you ever refused a job for moral or ethical reasons?
